About John Faircloth
Now in his fifth term representing Guilford County, Representative John Faircloth was born and raised in Greensboro and has served and protected citizens for nearly 40 years: first as a member of the United States Army Reserve, the Greensboro Police Department, and then as the Chief of Police for both the cities of Salisbury and High Point, North Carolina. Representative Faircloth was also elected to the High Point City Council, serving as Mayor Pro Tem, and worked for many years for the North Carolina Department of Justice.
Representative Faircloth graduated from Greensboro Senior High (now Grimsley High School — one of the top 100 High Schools in the nation) and from Guilford College, where he earned two degrees in Management. Furthering his education, Representative Faircloth went on to earn a Masters of Public Affairs at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and graduated from the Justice Executives Program at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and from the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville. Representative Faircloth is now a successful realtor and owner of Coldwell Banker Triad Realtors.
Always serving his community, Representative Fairloth is active in the Boys and Girls Club, Rotary International, Crimestoppers, the High Point Realtors Association, the Preddy Memorial Veterans Foundation, The Arts Council, United Way, and many other organizations.
His strong conservative principles and effectiveness in the General Assembly led to Representative Faircloth’s decisive re-election victory in 2014, garnering him nearly 70% of the vote. Representative Faircloth ran unopposed in 2016.
Representative Faircloth is a lifelong resident of Guilford County. He and his wife Linda live in High Point; they have three daughters, three grandchildren, and are active members of the Covenant United Methodist Church.
